What is CoronaSync “Smart Update?”

“Smart Update” is a technology built into all CoronaSync applications and Synclets that allows it to efficiently sync any file or database by sending only the changes since the last sync. CoronaSync uses a well-known “remote differencing algorithm” invented by Mr. Andrew Tridgell and popularized by the Unix ‘rsync’ utility. Unlike the Unix utility, CoronaSync uses “the rsync algorithm” to synchronize not only flat files, but any source of user data for which a CoronaSync Synclet has been built.
